People Power
Many Thanks
I started the section below and was astounded by just how many people have vounteered in one week. This is truly a community effort!
Thanks to Lyle who spent many hours servicing smoke alarms and replacing batteries in all of our cabins’
Ron Piggot volunteers twice weekly to oversee our water filtration system and our septic dispersal. Without Ron, we would not be able to operate as this is a crucial compliance requirement.
Thanks also to Janice and Lorraine who have continued their gardening blitz out the front of the office.
It was an early start for Alex H this week as the new rainwater tank for the new community workshop / shed was due to be delivered. With very short notice, Alex did a great job getting the pad ready.
Our regular office volunteers managed the office Monday (thanks Martina and Spy) and Tuesday (thanks Paula) morning.
Thanks too to Danny E who helped us out in dire circumstance when the Internet refused to work just prior to the cafe opening on the weekend . He came down immediately and sorted it out, allowing us to trade using our EFTPOS machine.
And of course our tireless cafe volunteers once again fronted up for their 6 hour shifts . Thanks to Maia, Emma and Rick.
You may be interested to know that our cafe’s chef Alex, volunteers her time once a week go into town to shop for the cafe food ingredients. Not only that both Rachael and Alex volunteer part of the weekend shifts to save us money!
And in other news…
The mural takes shape !
Thanks Kim and Karen!

Keep an eye out for the new signs. Finally , after almost a year, the new roadside signs are about to go up. The frames were put in place last week and we anticipate the signs will be attached this coming week. Thanks to the Dave and Sharon Towns and Neil and Lorena Chater for allowing us to erect the signs on their properties.
The frame awaits the new sign
